Ian grew up playing hockey in the Leafs organization and when he got to Midgets he switched to the RedWings organization. His senior year he played for his high school, Crystal Lake South. After that, he attended NIU where he majored in Corporate Communications and played for NIU for 5 years. During his time at NIU he served at the NIU Ice Hockey Club president for 3 years. Outside of school, Ian has worked for the Chicago Blackhawks, Rockford IceHogs, and Chicago Bandits. Ian is currently in his 2nd year of grad school at NIU majoring in Sport Management. This is Ian’s 3rd season as NIU Ice Hockeys GM.
