The NIU Hockey team had high expectations when leaving to go play the University of Wisconsin Madison this past weekend. The ride home was not a fun one for the Huskies, as they fell 5-3 and 5-1 in this weekends games. The team was outplayed and outskated in all sixty minutes of both games.

NIU(3-7) could not get any offensive production this weekend as the University of Wisonsin Madison defense and goaltending only held the Huskies to four goals.

Up next for NIU is the last of a 3 week road trip stretch, as they will travel to Springfield, IL to play the Robert Morris College-Springfield Eagles, Friday and Saturday Nights at 7:30pm.

The Hockey team's next home game at the Leafs Ice Centre is November 7th (NIU Greek Night) against #4 ranked Missouri State University, at 9pm.
