This will be Chuck's second year as head coach of the NIU D2 team. Chuck is coming off the 2012-2013 season as the MACHA Coach of the Year along with leading the Huskies to their first ever ACHA Central Regional berth. Chuck grew up in the Washington DC area playing youth hockey for the Washington Little Capitals AAA organization. He then left home during his high school years to play varsity hockey at Lawrence Academy prep school in Groton, MA. Chuck went on to attend Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL where he played for their NCAA Div III program. He graduated from LFC in 2000 with a BA in Business and Communications. Chuck has been coaching youth and high school hockey for the past 13 years in Illinois and he spent his last 6 years as the Varsity head coach and Director of Deerfield high school in Deerfield, IL. During his time at Deerfield the team won 2 White Division state championships and a Founders Cup Metro League Championship. Chuck currently lives in Bartlett, IL with his wife and daughter.

John Lyne - D3 Head Coach
This will be John's third year as head coach of the NIU D3 team. John currently sits as an ACHA D3 Rankings Committee member. John grew up playing hockey in the Sabers organization. He played high school for Downers Grove South. John started out playing college hockey at ACHA D3 Wright State University followed by 4 years at NIU. John has worked as an assistant instructor for pro ambitions hockey camp. John attended NIU where he graduated with a Bachelors in Corporate Communications along with his Masters’ in Sport Management.
